Soccer for Kids I Registration starts January 15, 2020
Allendale families can register for community soccer on the EMSA Southwest website. For the 2020 Outdoor Season, Allendale will be playing with Queen Alexandra and Parkallen communities. After registering on the website, registration must be finalized by attending an in-person registration date at Parkallen Community Hall.
More information on fees, age groups, etc. can be found on Parkallen’s Soccer Page.
In addition to our programs, we also run other activities throughout the year. Our calendar of events lists each of our programs and will include any further details you’ll need to know before you go.
As with all of our programs, you’ll need to show your Community League Membership to join in or buy one when you’re there.
Join the Allendale Dart Club or the Allendale Bridge Club. They meet on alternating Friday nights at 7 p.m. Check the calendar below before you go for upcoming dates and more information about them.
Allendale Community Potluck
Interested in feasting together, meeting others from the neighbourhood? Follow Allendale on social media for the next potluck.
Drop-In Soccer and Playground Activities
Last year we had a “drop-in” soccer program for the little kids as well as some drop-in playground time. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for more information on these activities as we head into summer.
GardenShare Project
Garden season will soon be upon us. Have you (or someone in the neighbourhood you know of) found that you cannot keep up the vegetable garden? The GardenShare project can team up untended backyard gardens with able gardeners who lack a garden. There are benefits to both. It could help a senior stay at home longer and produce can be shared. Each arrangement can be custom-tailored. We are looking to build an inventory of possible gardens in Allendale.
Pet Sitting Group
Do you have pets or wish you did? A group of residents are organizing to help look after each other’s furry friends. It’s a great way to connect with other animal enthusiasts and find convenient, local care for your fur babies. If you’re interested in joining the group, please send an email to allendalecommunityleague@gmail.com, subject: “Pet Sitting”.
Social Group
We are looking for a person, or a few people, who are interested in organizing an activity in the hall during the day for the retired or recently retired residents of our community. If this sounds like something you’d like to do please send an email to allendalecommunityleague@gmail.com and we will get you in contact with other like-minded people.
