The City of Edmonton has begun its annual citywide street sweeping. Please remember to park your vehicles off the street when the street sweepers are working.
Allendale is currently scheduled for May 2 – 8, 2021 (weather permitting). You can find any updates/changes to these dates and additional information on the city website.
On October 8, 2020, inspection of a sewer trunk line 23 metres below 61 Ave, found a 2.5-metre-long opening along the top of it. Further inspection at the intersection of 61 Ave and 109 St found materials around the trunk line had also eroded creating a void.
EPCOR placed roadblocks, reduced speed limit signs, and local traffic only signs in the area. Edmonton Traffic Enforcement were in the area for a short period to ticket speeding motorists or those not obeying traffic signs (i.e., not coming to a complete stop or performing illegal U-turns). The city eventually placed rerouting information in the surrounding areas.
Estimated completion of the repair work is now July 31.

Registration includes training fees only as there are NO GAMES at this time. Once AHS lifts the COVID 19 restrictions, SWMSA will collect additional fees.
Registration for the 2021 Soccer Season is online at emsasouthwest.com/play/
Allendale does not have a volunteer soccer coordinator so no plans were made to have a team. But keep your community in mind since Allendale has large field spaces so close by. If you are interested, possibly for this year or next, complete our volunteer page to join the board then get in touch with EMSA.

Join the Allendale and Queen Alexandra Community Leagues as we host this event on September 19 .
Purchase a Community League membership either while you are there or you can purchase it online through www.efcl.org on September 19th* and bring us a receipt.
Stay for the live music, hot dogs, and gelato, then get to know your neighbours. We will also have EPS on hand to provide community and bike security information.

The Allendale Community League’s Big Bin Event is still postponed until further notice.
For residents who are looking to get rid of unwanted items, the City of Edmonton will be hosting 5 Big Bin Events in August & September 2020. Alberta Health Services COVID-19 guidelines will be in effect.

The project team is seeking art from Queen Alexandra and Allendale residents reflecting on these unusual times for a community banner.
ALL forms of creative expression are welcome, including paintings, photographs, poetry, stories…etc.
